Responsibilities:
* Design, implement, and maintain network security solutions using firewall management software/products.
* Deploy and maintain intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
* Understand network security requirements, ensure compliance with regulations and standards, and develop solutions.
* Conduct security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
* Monitor network traffic and security logs for suspicious activities and breaches.
* Keep network devices and software updated with security patches.
* Perform backups of network and firewall equipment.
* Evaluate and analyze network security products.
* Implement encryption protocols (e.g., VPNs, SSL/TLS).
* Maintain documentation of security configurations, policies, and procedures.
* Perform cybersecurity and vulnerability assessments.
* Learn new skills such as Nutanix, VMware, OS Hardening, etc.
Qualities We Value:
* Familiarity with network infrastructure components, including routers, switches, load balancers, Checkpoint Firewall.
* Certifications like CISSP, CISM, CEH, CND, CCNP Security are highly desirable.
* Basic knowledge of server virtualization (Hyper-V, VMWare, Nutanix), cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), and operating systems (Windows, Linux).
* Basic scripting knowledge (Python, Bash, PowerShell, Ansible).
* Experience troubleshooting complex network security issues.
* Good documentation skills and knowledge base building.
* Responsible, conscientious, team player, resourceful, independent, proactive.
* Entry-level candidates are welcome; more experienced candidates may be considered for senior roles.
