The Team and the opportunity
We have an exciting Director role available in EY's market-leading Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) team, working with some of the largest multinational and Irish companies.
This role also offers the opportunity to collaborate extensively with EY's other service lines, including advisory, assurance, and tax.
Within FAAS, we are recruiting into our Finance Advisory & Process Improvement competency.
You will play a key role in driving growth by developing new and enhancing existing client relationships, leading project teams, and delivering excellent customer service through high-profile engagements.
FAAS serves as trusted advisors to our clients' finance and reporting teams, providing support and end-to-end solutions in financial reporting, accounting, transactions, and financial control.
Our services focus on creating value-added relationships and helping clients develop their finance functions.

Your key responsibilities
Growing the finance optimisation business through new opportunities and client engagement
Representing FAAS at events and seminars
Leading delivery on client projects, maintaining quality and service standards
Managing client relationships at senior levels
Mentoring and coaching junior team members
Collaborating with other EY teams for seamless solutions
Updating engagement leaders on progress and issues
Supporting research and consultations for deliverables
Preparing high-quality client reports and technical analyses
Presenting findings to clients and senior teams
Developing talent through training, mentoring, and wellbeing initiatives
Skills and attributes for success
We seek motivated, analytical candidates with a passion for innovation, strong attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.
To qualify for the role, you must have
Accountancy qualification (ACCA / ACA / CPA / CA or equivalent)
At least 10 years of post-qualified experience
Deep understanding of IFRS and FRS 102
Strong technical writing and risk management skills
Experience in finance process optimisation and technology adoption (e.g., RPA, OCR, PowerBI, SAP, Oracle)
Ideally, you will also have
US GAAP and SOX knowledge
Business development and networking skills
Experience handling complex accounting issues and transactions
Leadership in planning and executing engagements
Knowledge of finance governance, processes, and controls
Industry experience and commercial awareness
