Purchasing Assistant | Hybrid | Dublin 12

At Staffline Recruitment we have a fantastic opportunity available for an experienced administrator who is keen to pursue a career in purchasing / procurement. My client is a marketing leading company operating in the medical device and equipment space.

Working as part of an established and supportive team, the purpose of this role will be to provide administrative assistance to the purchasing team whilst working closely with the sales and customer service teams, the accounts department and suppliers. The successful candidate will gain exposure to a wide range of product lines and purchasing processes and secure a position with excellent long-term career prospects.

Key responsibilities will include:

* Processing daily purchase orders
* Support to Purchasing, Customer Services and Sales teams
* Supporting Procurement Team with Inventory Trending/Min-Max levels/Safety Stock/Expiry reports
* Support to team with stock management overview
* Process supplier returns, open POs, logistic queries
* Liaising with suppliers, attending supplier meetings and building on current relationships as required
* Providing support to the team with data and business analysis
* Meeting supplier reporting deadlines
* Ad hoc reporting when requested
* Provide assistance during ISO audit
* Working to month end deadlines & daily KPI's & Playbooks

Interested applicants will meet the following requirements:

* Experience of working in a Purchasing Team is an advantage
* SAP experience an advantage
* Self-starter who demonstrates initiative
* Analytical mindset
* Assertive dealing with colleagues and suppliers
* Proven attention to detail and follow through
* Ability to deal with several tasks at once, able to adapt to most situations
* Time management and organisational skills
* Excellent interpersonal skills and telephone manner
* Open and receptive communication skills
* Outgoing and positive attitude to customers and colleagues
* Strong Team Player
* Computer literate in Microsoft office

This permanent position is located in Dublin 12 and will offer a hybrid working model of 3 days per week working from home. A salary in the region of €30,000 - €35,000 will be payable along with a market-leading benefits and bonus package.
