About Wicklow Pride CLG, a volunteer-led not-for-profit organisation working to promote inclusion, visibility, equality and the celebration of LGBTQIA+ people across County Wicklow.
We organise an annual Pride festival and deliver year-round community and advocacy activities. Our Board is seeking a Treasurer to join us and help strengthen our financial governance and long-term sustainability.
----------------------------------- ### Job Description: This is a voluntary non-executive Board role that combines light practical financial administration with oversight & governance. The successful candidate will ensure our finances are well managed transparent & aligned with best practice for community organisations. They will provide assurance on our financial position prepare present & explain Income & Expenditure (I&E) reports at Board meetings support budgeting cashflow awareness basic financial planning identify highlight risks pressures or opportunities to the Board.
### Responsibilities: #### Financial Oversight • Ensure accurate up-to-date records using Xero • Reconcile bank transactions periodically • Provide guidance on budgets forecasting in line with organisational goals - this includes ensuring alignment between income expenditure forecasts Considerable experience building upon sound business principles data analysis combined effectively communicate your decisions You'll work closely with External Accountants contractually preparing review delivery comprehensive Year-End Accounts annually whilst delivering regular monitoring reviews helping guide further development through respectful conversation influence constructive inputs scenario portrayal.
