Head of Security

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled individual to take on the role of Head of Security. This is a senior leadership position that requires a strong understanding of security operations, network engineering, and team management.
* About the Role:
* To oversee the design, maintenance, and evolution of all internal network and security systems.
* To develop and refine security policies, processes, and standards across the business.
* To manage firewalls, endpoint security platforms, logging solutions, and vulnerability tooling.
* To lead periodic reviews, assessments, and testing to identify weaknesses and implement fixes.
* To coordinate and guide response activities when security events occur.
* To drive continuous improvements to identity management, access controls, and monitoring.
* To maintain a reliable network environment (LAN, WAN, VPN, wireless) and resolve performance or capacity issues.
* To work with senior stakeholders to align infrastructure and security roadmaps with business needs.
* To manage vendor relationships and support accreditation or compliance initiatives where required.
* Requirements:
* 7+ years in IT with strong exposure to both security operations and network engineering.
* Previous experience in a senior, lead, or managerial capacity.
* Strong understanding of enterprise networking technologies (routing, VLANs, access policies, VPNs).
* Experience with major security platforms (endpoint protection, SIEM, firewalls, monitoring tools).
* Familiarity with cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
* Knowledge of recognised security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to interface with technical teams and leadership.
* Security or network certifications (CISSP, CISM, CCNP, Security+, etc.) are beneficial but not required.
