Social Network Integration Role:
This role oversees the daily operations of shift management across Inbound (receiving, put away/replenishment) or Outbound (pick, pack and ship) functions in the distribution centre. Responsibilities include assisting in staffing, training, and scheduling of warehouse teams while maintaining adherence to productivity goals and fluctuating work levels. Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations. Provide same day shipment for customer orders with 100% accuracy, proper packaging using defined transportation modes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supervise staff to optimize productivity and accuracy in their job functions, utilizing weekly benchmark reports, performance posting, and goal setting to measure and communicate results to team members.
2. Plan daily workloads to ensure all customer orders are shipped within the same day.
3. Foster a customer-focused environment within the warehouse team by implementing standards and driving results.
4. Oversee daily processes to meet or exceed Key Performance Indicator (KPI) metrics.
5. Provide guidance and assistance to the warehouse team on job assignments and resolve issues as needed.
6. Maintain alignment with departmental expectations to drive desired outcomes.
7. Contribute to the training, development, and management of the warehouse team, monitoring and enhancing individual performance through clear expectations, training, coaching, and mentoring.
8. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety Regulations at the site.
9. Deliver training and certification prior to employees operating industrial equipment, including Forklifts, Order Pickers, etc., and monitor employee usage.
10. Submit accurate and timely reports on warehouse activities using Business Metrics reports, benchmark spreadsheets, and other required documents.
11. Adhere to logistics and distribution centre budget constraints, monitoring controllable expenses such as Overtime, Salary, Temporary help, Supplies, Facility Maintenance expense, etc.
12. Perform additional duties and tasks necessitated by changes in job requirements.
Qualifications:
1. Demonstrated expertise in Warehouse operations and business acumen.
2. 2-4 years experience in Distribution Centre operations, preferably with Store, Direct to Consumer, and Business to Business applications.
3. Functional knowledge and experience in conducting metric-driven analysis and accountability.
4. Experience in implementing and using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
5. Proven competence in Microsoft Operating Systems.
6. Understanding of Process Improvement/Six Sigma processes is an asset.
7. Strong leadership and people management skills are essential.
8. Able to proactively identify challenges and develop solutions to achieve success.
9. Bachelor Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Accounting, Finance, or Economics is preferred.
10. Familiarity with Distribution Centre processes and functions.
11. Flexibility in working hours due to the nature of the role and industry, seasonality, and business needs.
