About the Role
As Assistant Director of Nursing, you’ll play a key role in supporting the Director of Nursing to ensure the highest standards of care, compliance, and team performance are consistently achieved. You’ll have the opportunity to influence resident well-being, staff development, and overall service quality in a warm and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Director of Nursing in day-to-day clinical and operational management
Lead, mentor, and motivate the nursing and care teams
Ensure delivery of safe, person-centred care in line with HIQA standards
Oversee care planning, medication management, and clinical audits
Participate in policy development and quality improvement initiatives
Foster a positive working culture focused on teamwork, compassion, and excellence
What You’ll Need
Active NMBI registration
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a senior nursing role, ideally within the care of the elderly sector
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
A genuine commitment to providing outstanding care and promoting residents’ quality of life
