Project Lead: New Product Introduction
* Job Description:
* We are seeking an experienced Project Leader to coordinate and lead the introduction of new products, repairs, and projects within our organization.
* As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for co-ordinating NPI activity for existing product lines and projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget targets.
* You will lead a team of engineers in the development and introduction of new products, managing project plans, budgets, and schedules to achieve business objectives.
* Key responsibilities include:
* Coordinating NPI Gate Process reviews and approvals;
* Conducting research and analysis to support new product proposals;
* Preparing Technical & Commercial Feasibility Studies for new product proposals;
* Updating and maintaining NPI procedures in line with company requirements;
* Establishing project teams and resource planning for projects;
* Conducting project reviews with project teams and management to ensure all stakeholders are informed of progress.
* Other key responsibilities include leading a team of engineers, developing and introducing new products, and managing project costs and schedules.
Requirements and Qualifications
* Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Minimum degree-level qualification in Materials, Metallurgy, or Mechanical Engineering;
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
* Disciplined approach to defining and qualifying process stability (Lean/6 Sigma);
* Strong project leadership and team leadership skills;
* Competent communication and report-writing skills;
* Proven experience in Project Management or Engineering Lead roles;
* Proven track record in problem-solving in complex environments.
