Activity Therapist Job Description As an Activity Therapist, you will use a variety of techniques to maintain the physical, mental and emotional well-being of our residents. This includes arts and crafts, animals, sports, games, dance and movement, music and community outings. In conjunction with consultants, nurses, care staff, occupational and other therapists, you will help reduce depression, stress, and anxiety; assist in the recovery of basic motor functioning and reasoning abilities, build confidence, promote greater independence, as well as reducing or eliminating the effects of illness or disability. Working Hours This is a full-time, permanent post working 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. Reporting Relationship The post holder reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager and Director of Nursing.
