Position Title: Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of Human Biology

Department: Biological and Chemical Sciences

Reports To: Department Chair

Salary: $75,000-$80,000

Position Summary

The Department of Biological and Chemical Sciences at Manhattan University invites innovative and passionate scientists to apply for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position specializing in Human Biology. We particularly welcome candidates with expertise in human organismal model systems who are committed to excellence in both teaching and research within our vibrant undergraduate community. This is an in-person, on-campus, non-remote position.

In this role, you'll shape the next generation of scientists and healthcare professionals while advancing your research in a supportive academic environment. You'll have the opportunity to:

* Mentor undergraduate researchers and help prepare them for careers in medicine, research, and beyond

* Contribute to our inclusive community through departmental and university service

Qualifications

* Ph.D. in Biology or related field (completed by August 2025)
* Specialization in human biology with a clear research vision
* Commitment to inclusive and innovative teaching practices
* Enthusiasm for mentoring undergraduate student researchers
* Collaborative spirit and dedication to academic excellence
* University-level teaching experience (beneficial but not required)
