Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Process Chemist to join our Chemistry Consumables team, to optimise existing Products/Processes and drive process, cost & continuous improvement projects with the use of Lean/Six Sigma tools & methodology.
Responsibilities
1. Liaise with R&D, Marketing, Taunton Production and Wexford Production & Quality Departments
2. Develop manufacturing/product testing processes which consistently deliver high quality HPLC/UPLC columns
3. Design and implement stability indicating experiments to ensure product stability
4. Support investigations related to customer feedback
5. Project Management of Continuous Improvement initiatives/6 Sigma activities
6. Support projects associated with student placements
7. Conduct all project activities in accordance with appropriate standards (21CFR820, ISO9001, ISO13485, GMP)
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
8. BSc. or higher in chemistry or relevant science discipline
9. Relevant laboratory/industry experience in a similar role
10. Experience in the use of Waters acquisition software is an advantage
11. Proven abilities in project management and problem-solving
12. Good interpersonal and communication skills
13. Good decision-making abilities
14. Good time management and attention to detail
15. Strong analytical ability and associated problem-solving
16. Proven report writing and presentation skills
