The International Research on Energy Systems Integration, Education & Environment for Sustainability and Innovation Center (IRESI) is a research centre housed in the School of Business. IRESI focuses on propelling sustainable energy systems into the future by helping individuals, organisations and institutions pursue a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable energy landscape.
Position
We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Technical Research Assistant to support a multidisciplinary technical team working on the Research Ireland‑funded RENEW project. The successful candidate will contribute to a range of activities including software development, data processing, and the preparation and maintenance of large datasets.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the development, testing, and refinement of technical solutions that support the objectives of the RENEW project.
Support software development, data processing, and preparation/maintenance of large datasets.
Build research experience across both computational and practical aspects of research and development.
Qualifications
Strong analytical thinking.
Willingness to learn.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced technical environment.
Salary
Research Assistant Level I (2026): €33,792–€37,725 p.a. (6 points)
Research Assistant Level II (2026): €38,674 p.a. (1 point)
Appointments will be made in accordance with public sector pay provisions.
