Warehouse Operative Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and physically fit Warehouse Operative to join our team. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of warehouse activities within our facility.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics role, with a valid forklift license and strong attention to detail. You will be able to work effectively as part of a team, with excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and productivity.
The Warehouse Operative will be responsible for loading and unloading materials, supplies, and finished pallets from vehicles safely and efficiently. You will inspect incoming materials for quality and report any issues to the supervisor. Additionally, you will organize, move, and store raw materials and finished products in designated areas within the warehouse, ensuring proper stacking and storage practices to maintain warehouse safety and efficiency.
Your duties will also include preparing orders for dispatch according to daily schedules, ensuring pallets meet quality and quantity specifications. You will package, label, and document orders accurately for customer delivery. Furthermore, you will assist in stock counts and inventory management, ensuring accurate records are kept, and report stock shortages or discrepancies to the Warehouse Supervisor.
The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on quality control, inspecting products for quality assurance before dispatch, following company quality standards. You will identify and set aside any damaged or defective pallets for repair or disposal. In addition, you will adhere to all health and safety regulations, wearing appropriate PPE and following safety protocols, and maintain a clean, organized workspace, contributing to a safe working environment by identifying and reporting potential hazards.
This is a full-time position, working an 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday. The salary is €14.00-€14.50 per hour.
