A well-established voluntary healthcare organisation in Cork is seeking an experienced
Human Resources Manager
to join its senior leadership team.
Reporting directly to the COO, this is a broad standalone HR leadership role with responsibility across strategic and operational HR, employee relations, workforce planning, compliance, and organisational development.
4-day or 5-day working week available
Fully onsite- Blackrock Cork
Key Responsibilities
Lead the HR function across all areas including employee relations, industrial relations, recruitment, performance management, workforce planning, L&D, and HR compliance
Partner with senior leadership and department heads to support organisational strategy and operational delivery
Manage disciplinary, grievance, absence management, and trade union engagement processes
Ensure compliance with employment legislation, HIQA standards, HSE SLA obligations, GDPR, and HR best practice
Oversee HR systems, staff records, onboarding, succession planning, and reporting/KPI tracking
Support staff wellbeing, occupational health initiatives, internal communications, and employee engagement activities
Requirements
Third-level qualification in HR or related discipline
Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior HR management role within healthcare or another regulated environment
Strong industrial and employee relations experience, including disciplinary and grievance management
Knowledge of healthcare/public sector HR compliance frameworks including HIQA and HSE environments
This role would suit a hands-on HR leader who is equally comfortable operating strategically at executive level while managing day-to-day HR operations in a complex healthcare setting.
