Environmental Health and Safety Manager
The role of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager is crucial in ensuring a safe working environment for employees. As an EHS Manager, you will lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of effective management systems to minimize risks and protect employees.
About the Job
This position requires a strong understanding of EHS requirements and regulations. You will work closely with Site Engineering and EHS Director, Site Leadership Team, managers, and staff to provide technical advice and assistance to enable EHS performance to be managed effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor and report EHS performance, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
* Ensure EHS site objectives are aligned to corporate EHS plan and priorities.
* Investigate EHS accidents and high potential incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
* Drive safety culture improvements by encouraging safe behaviors and rewarding employees for their contributions.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Sciences, or Occupational Safety, with further specialist qualifications preferred.
- Membership of a relevant professional organization, such as IOSH.
- Experience in managing EHS risks in a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), Pharmaceutical, or related high-hazard sector.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Chartered IOSH membership.
* Other related engineering certifications.
* At least 6 years' experience in the EHS field.
* Knowledge of EHS tracking databases.
