Key Responsibilities:Strategic: Plan the evolution of the Piping and BIM sections in ever increasing technological development and personnel working practices and working globally with Global Excellence Centers.Leadership: Manage and develop the piping department, including BIM and CAD functions, supporting team progression and fostering collaboration across disciplines.Project Coordination: Ensure seamless integration of piping workflows into multidisciplinary BIM models, delivering high-quality piping deliverables (e.g., 3D models, isometrics) and resolving design clashes.Resource Planning: Recruit, allocate, and manage resources both across the network and externally to meet project demands, ensuring technical and commercial objectives are achieved across multiple projects.Team Development: The manager will build a world class team for both piping and BIM and maximise the potential development of their team members.Quality Assurance: Implement design safety procedures, conduct design reviews, and ensure compliance with codes, standards, and project requirements.Client & Business Development: Build strong client relationships, support proposal preparation, and contribute to business development activities.Continuous Improvement: Enhance efficiency by implementing lessons learned, developing tools, and contributing to procedure improvement initiatives.Experience & Skills Required:Industry Expertise: 10-15 years of experience in piping design and coordination within pharmaceutical, medical devices, or industrial sectors.Technical Proficiency: Skilled in piping design tools such as CADWorx, Plant 3D, Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and BIM360.Project Management: Proven track record in managing discipline teams, estimating hours, resource planning, and delivering projects within timelines and budgets.Team Leadership: Strong mentoring, team-building, and professional development capabilities.Collaboration: Experience working within multidisciplinary teams, including structural, MEP, civil, and architectural disciplines.Communication: Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams.Education:Third-level engineering qualification or equivalent trade experience while preferable the wealth of experience from an experienced piping professional is valued.
