Objectives of this role: Developing and implementing robust security strategies and policies to protect the company and customer assets, employees and facilities.
Assessing potential risks and vulnerabilities, investigating security incidents and reinforcing appropriate measures to mitigate them.
Leading and managing a team of security personnel, including hiring, training and performance management.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure integration of security requirements into business processes and projects.
Conducting regular security assessments, audits and inspections to identify gaps and areas for improvement.
Maintaining and updating emergency response plans, ensuring all employees know their roles and responsibilities.
Collaborating with external stakeholders, such as law enforcement agencies and third-party security vendors, to enhance security measures and respond to incidents.
Fostering a culture of security awareness and training employees on security protocols and procedures.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement extensive security plans, policies and procedures to protect personnel, assets and information, to include customer specific assignment instructions, risk assessments and any other relevant documents as required.
Lead, train and supervise a team of security personnel, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
Manage the patrol response team alongside your colleagues Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.
Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures.
Collaborate with internal departments, such as human resources, to ensure compliance with security protocols and standards.
Investigate security incidents and violations, document findings and implement corrective actions.
Maintain strong relationships with external partners, such as law enforcement agencies and third-party security vendors, to enhance security capabilities.
Educate employees on security awareness, policies and procedures through training programs and communication initiatives.
Stay informed about the latest security technologies, trends and regulatory requirements and make recommendations for enhancements to the security program.
Scheduling for all security contracts.
Invoicing preparation for the entire security portfolio.
Oversee payroll for all security team members to ensure it is correct and any relevant allowances are included.
On-call availability alongside your colleagues Availability to travel nationwide to supervise customer locations and assignments.
Preparation and presentation of monthly KPI reports.
Preparation and presentation of customer QBR reports.
Work closely with the business development team during tender and mobilisation stages of new security contracts.
Liaise regularly with all security customers to ensure they are satisfied with the level of service being provided.
Desired skills and qualifications: Qualification in security management, criminal justice or a related field.
5+ years of experience in security management, law enforcement or the armed forces, with a strong understanding of security principles and practices.
Hold a current PSA license.
Hold a full driving license.
In-depth knowledge of security technologies, incident management software and other security-related equipment, such as access control systems, CCTV surveillance, patrol verification systems etc.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement security policies, procedures and programs.
Familiarity with laws, regulations and industry standards pertaining to security and safety in Ireland.
Proficiency in security assessments, audits and investigations at a large scale.
Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse security team.
Attention to detail and a keen eye for identifying and mitigating security risks.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with individuals at all levels of the organisation.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity.
Raise and review PO Numbers and accruals.
Preparation of weekly and monthly management reports.
Prepare for and attend monthly P L meetings.
Assist in onboarding new security personnel.
Maintain annual leave tracker and manage security team members annual leave.
Preferred skills and qualifications: Relevant professional certifications in security management or related areas, like Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and Certified Security Manager (CSM).
Comprehensive knowledge of computer systems such as Microsoft Office, Excel, Word etc.
Knowledge of emergency response planning and incident management.
Ability to adapt to changing security threats and technologies.
Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and best practices.
Training or experience in emergency response and crisis management.
