Purchasing Manager (Construction) – Carlow
Building Staff Solutions (BSS) are seeking applications for the position of Purchasing Manager in Carlow for our client, an established Construction Main Contractor specialising in the delivery of Pharma projects with a range of other commercial projects and with a long history of completing on time, within budget and to the highest standards.
This is an office based role in Carlow.
The main function of this role is to oversee and ensure efficient procurement of Construction Materials and the smooth operation and flow of materials to and from site.
Responsibilities
Manage Existing Vendor relationships
Ensure efficient cost pricing of materials
Maintain quality of material purchases
Manage the investment in stocks and construction materials for all sites
Ensure all compounds for all available storage areas on site are managed efficiently
Coordinate with Vendors/Contractors to ensure their understanding of locations for all deliveries
Maintain good organisational skills to ensure deliveries are coming to site in an orderly manner
Manage Vendors approach to each delivery and ensure all deliveries are complete
Record and trace labour allocation and work reports
