Buyer Planner & Logistics Specialist Job Profile
Controlled Environments Company (CEC) is a single source supplier and solutions provider to customers operating in critically clean and controlled environments. We are currently recruiting for a Buyer Planner & Logistics Specialist, to work at our office in Dublin 15. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining service level and providing support to important domestic and international customers.
Responsibilities
1. Management of product categories.
2. Ensuring continuous supply and optimum levels of inventory.
3. Reviewing minimum stock holdings against average sales analysis.
4. Managing and reducing excess inventory levels.
5. Manage & improve warehouse space utilization.
6. Working to agreed time scales and deadlines.
7. Developing and maintaining relationships with vendors.
8. Participation in cost reduction activities.
9. Delivering both high quality and cost-effective solutions.
10. Managing vendor performance and ensuring alignment with inhouse quality systems.
11. Departmental administration duties.
12. Analyse and resolve purchasing issues and discrepancies.
13. Understanding of logistics within the company.
Skills & Experience
1. Experience working in a similar role and/or industry.
2. Passion for delivering first class customer service to customers.
3. Experience working with multinational organisations would be preferred.
4. Ability to identify customer needs and ensure customer satisfaction with every enquiry.
5. Good time management skills.
6. Good communication, organisational and administration skills.
7. Ability to prioritize and multitask.
8. Flexible and pro-active attitude.
9. Ability to identify problems before they arise and the initiative to come up with solutions.
10. Experience working with Microsoft Office package such as Outlook, Word, Excel.
11. Previous experience using an ERP system e.g., SAP would be beneficial.
