We are looking for an experienced and creative Sous Chef to join our opening team. As the second-in-command in the kitchen, you will play a vital role in helping shape the menu, leading daily service, and ensuring consistent, high-quality dishes across our gastro pub and café offerings. You'll support the Head Chef in driving standards, mentoring junior team members, and maintaining smooth kitchen operations.Key Responsibilities:Assist the Head Chef in menu development, food preparation, and daily service.Lead the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence.Train, mentor, and supervise junior kitchen staff.Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.Oversee stock management, ordering, and supplier relationships.Ensure strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.Contribute ideas for seasonal specials and innovative dishes.HACCP management and record keeping essential.Requirements:Previous experience as Sous Chef or Senior Chef de partie in a similar environment.Strong knowledge of modern World/European cuisine and café-style dishes and steak house service.Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Food hygiene and safety certifications desirable.What We Offer:Competitive salaryOpportunities for career growth and development.Staff meals and discounts.Being part of a passionate opening team shaping a new food destination.Job Type: Full-timeWork Location: In person
