Store Manager – Skibbereen
Our client is currently recruiting an experienced Store Manager to lead one of their stores in Skibbereen Co.Cork.This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated retail or trade professional to take ownership of store operations, drive sales, and lead a high-performing team.
As Store Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance of the branch, ensuring excellent customer service, strong sales results, and efficient day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage all aspects of store operations, including sales, stock control, and administration
2. Lead, motivate, and develop a team to achieve targets and deliver excellent customer service
3. Build and maintain strong relationships with trade and retail customers
4. Drive sales performance and identify opportunities for growth
5. Ensure health and safety, merchandising, and company standards are consistently maintained
6. Manage budgets, margins, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
Requirements:
7. Previous experience as a Store Manager or Assistant Manager in a builders' providers, hardware, or trade retail environment
8. Strong leadership and people-management skills
9. Commercially minded, with a proven ability to drive sales and margin
10. Excellent customer service and communication skills
11. Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
12. Knowledge of building materials and trade customers is a strong advantage
