Overview
Tesco Ireland is seeking to appoint a Line Manager for Ennis who will support and lead a department and a team to deliver the best shop for our customers.
Responsibilities
Lead and coach the team to deliver the best Shopping Trip for customers by ensuring great service, standards and availability
Deliver all key performance indicators for the department
Make daily decisions that support the team to do their jobs
Deliver the training plan, ensuring all colleagues receive quality training, are validated to do their job and have an up‑to‑date training card
Ensure all processes, routines and systems for the department are completed accurately and on time
Plan every seasonal, trade‑driving and promotional activity to achieve maximum sales, impact and presentation
Ensure safe and legal routines for the department, addressing any identified issues
Ensure colleagues understand the importance of the “what” and the “how”, have objectives, regular reviews, career discussions and a live PDP
Provide regular coaching and feedback across the store, improving the team’s skills
Encourage innovation and personal growth within the team
Role‑model a culture where customers love to shop and colleagues love to work
Always put the customer first and consider them in everything you do
Get to know your customers and serve them with pride
Help to ensure products and services are available for customers at all times
Handle all products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach the customer in the best condition
Keep the shop floor and back areas clean and tidy at all times
Follow all company policies and health and safety routines
Support colleagues by helping in other departments when required
Qualifications
Must have previous management experience
Demonstrated track record of: passionate customer and colleague focus, adaptability, delivering key objectives in a fast‑paced environment, being the go‑to person for all queries in the department, influencing at the most senior level
Previous retail experience preferred
