Job Overview:
A Mechanical Engineer plays a pivotal role in maintaining and improving plant operations.
* As part of the multi-disciplinary maintenance team, they ensure the smooth operation of various equipment and systems
* Responsible for managing specific plant process areas, including planning and executing maintenance activities
* Key focus areas include ensuring preventative and predictive maintenance is completed on time, identifying and resolving maintenance issues, and implementing improvements to safety and environmental standards
The ideal candidate will possess:
* A strong educational background in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
* Experience working in a similar role, with at least 5 years' experience in a heavy industry environment
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
* Strong technical skills, commercial acumen, and attention to detail
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent
At least 5 years' experience in a similar role
Knowledge of Health and Safety in heavy industry
Excellent IT skills, including MS Office and Autocad
Proven track record of contributing to the overall performance of previous employers
