The Faculty of Science and Computing at SETU Waterford is composed of five Departments, one of which is the Department of Veterinary Medicine. The Department was established to facilitate the development and roll out of a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (MVB) at SETU. The newly established department builds on an established track record of undergraduate, taught postgraduate and PhD activities in Agricultural Science, Animal Health and Welfare, Food Science, Pharmaceutical Science, Molecular Biology with Biopharmaceutical Science, and Health Science at the university. The Department is connected to industry through a number of industry boards and research centres including the Land Sciences industry board and the Pharmaceutical and Molecular Biotechnology Research Centre (PMBRC) and Eco-Innovation Research Centre (EIRC). The Head of Department will have the relevant skills and experience to manage a very dynamic department while supporting the broader activities of the Faculty and the university.
