About the Opportunity
A leading contractor based in Dublin is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the delivery of large-scale Data Centre, Pharmaceutical, Industrial, and Commercial projects across Ireland & Europe.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing team working on mission-critical infrastructure and complex engineering projects, with exposure to full project lifecycle delivery from design coordination through to commissioning and handover.
The Role – Electrical Engineer
As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in the design coordination, technical delivery, and installation of electrical systems, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
You will work closely with Project Managers, Construction Teams, BIM, and Design firms, supporting all aspects of electrical engineering delivery on site.
Key Responsibilities of the Electrical Engineer

Support the delivery of electrical systems across MV/LV distribution, containment, cabling, lighting, small power, and life safety systems.
Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical submittals, ensuring compliance with project requirements and standards.
Coordinate with BIM teams and design consultants to resolve design clashes and ensure constructability.
Assist in the preparation of method statements, risk assessments (RAMS), and technical documentation.
Monitor site installation works, ensuring compliance with design, quality standards, and safety procedures.
Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of materials and works in line with programme.
Support testing, commissioning, and handover processes, including documentation and client sign-off.
Participate in project meetings, progress reviews, and coordination workshops.
Track and report on progress, issues, and technical queries (RFIs).
Ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and client specifications.

Necessary Requirements of the Electrical Engineer

Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
3–8+ years’ experience in electrical engineering within construction or M&E contracting environments.
Proven experience working on Data Centre, Pharmaceutical, Industrial, or Commercial projects.
Strong knowledge of:
MV/LV electrical systems
Power distribution, UPS, generators, and control systems
Construction processes and site coordination
Experience with:
Autodesk Revit / BIM coordination
AutoCAD
Technical submittals and documentation
Strong understanding of health & safety (RAMS, permits, site procedures)
Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-value project environment
