Description
The Biosensors Group is seeking an experienced Product Engineer to join the team in Limerick, Ireland. The group is developing a portfolio of Biosensing products that will enable a new business franchise for the Digital Healthcare Business Unit in Analog Devices. The Biosensing products will target applications including point-of-care diagnostics and therapeutics. The first product under development is a Multi-Ion Fluidics Sensor for blood.
The selected candidate will develop a thorough understanding of the products being developed and their applications. They will support sensor testing and data analysis during the characterization and evaluation phase of new product development and release. They will also coordinate the development of processes and procedures to support products post-market release.
Roles & Responsibilities
* Develop a thorough understanding of the Biosensor products.
* Support the Sensor Design team with sensor testing and data analysis during characterization.
* Assist in the development of new manufacturing processes through verification and validation testing.
* Support the execution of new product reliability testing programs.
* Document testing results and conclusions, reporting to the wider team.
* Drive the development of processes and procedures to support products post-release.
Qualifications & Requirements
Required
* Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Physics, Electro-Chemistry, or related disciplines.
* 10+ years of relevant experience.
* Ability to perform well both independently and in a team environment.
* Evidence of leadership skills and goal delivery.
* Excellent communication, presentation, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
* High motivation and creativity, with a positive attitude.
* Inquisitive nature and willingness to tackle multidisciplinary challenges.
* Experience with statistical data analysis using JMP or similar tools.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Experience with electrochemical or other chemical/biosensors.
* Experience with ISO 13485 medical device standards.
