Responsibilities
* Develop, optimise, validate, and transfer analytical methods to support new and existing products.
* Provide scientific expertise and technical troubleshooting for analytical challenges.
* Ensure compliance with cGMP and regulatory requirements while maintaining data integrity.
* Review, approve, and contribute to SOPs, validation protocols, and technical reports.
* Lead and support laboratory investigations, ensuring timely resolution with sound scientific rationale.
* Communicate project progress effectively and provide training where needed.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory environment.
Qualifications / Experience
* Honours degree (or higher) in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in an analytical laboratory, preferably within the pharmaceutical/biotechnology sector.
* Extensive knowledge of method development, validation, and transfer.
* Proficiency with techniques such as HPLC, GC, IC, LC-MS, ICP-OES, IR, and pharmacopoeial testing.
* Strong troubleshooting skills for both analytical methodologies and instrumentation.
* Proven experience working in a cGMP environment.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead projects and collaborate effectively.
* Familiarity with regulatory requirements and statistical/mathematical tools for data interpretation.
