Transport Planner Greenogue Co Dublin Overview In this role, you'll play a vital part in planning, coordinating, and optimising the movement of goods across Ireland and beyond. You'll be at the heart of the logistics operationdesigning efficient delivery routes, staying ahead of disruptions, and making sure that the business hits delivery promises while keeping costs and emissions low. You will be working in a supportive, collaborative environment where you will take ownership of your role and make a tangible impact on delivery performance and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Plan & Schedule daily and weekly transport operations based on customer needs, fleet capacity, and service levels. Optimize Routes using planning tools and data insights to improve efficiency, save costs, and reduce emissions. Coordinate Teamswork closely with drivers, warehouse staff, customer service, and third-party logistics providers. Manage Live Operationsmonitor deliveries in real time and quickly resolve any issues or delays. Update Systemsmaintain accurate records using TMS (Transport Management Systems) and reporting tools. Ensure Compliance with Irish and EU transport regulations, including driver hours and tachograph laws. Track Performanceanalyse KPIs such as On-Time-In-Full (OTIF), vehicle utilisation, and fuel usage. Drive Improvementsupport initiatives around digital transformation, sustainability, and operational efficiency. Liaise with Customers to resolve transport queries or concerns with professionalism and care. Stay Informed about regulatory updates, fuel trends, and best practices in transport and logistics. Experience & Education: 23 years in transport planning, logistics coordination, or a similar operational role. Strong working knowledge of Irish and EU transport legislation. Proficiency in route planning software (e.g., SAP TM, Paragon, or similar). Skilled in Microsoft Excel and general MS Office suite. Experience with 3PL providers is a strong plus. Full clean driving license preferred but not essential.
