Software Controls Engineer
Join our automation engineering team and play a key role in developing high-performance control systems for bespoke automated assembly machinery.
You'll work across the full project lifecycle, from software design through to commissioning and validation of new equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop control system software for PLCs, HMIs, robotics, motion and vision systems.
Support machine build, debug, testing and commissioning.
Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical and controls engineers.
Participate in design reviews and contribute technical insights.
Create and maintain documentation for new and upgraded equipment.
Deliver work to meet project timelines and performance targets.
About You
Level 8 qualification in Automation, Robotics, or related discipline.
Skilled in PLC, HMI, robotics, vision systems and motion control.
Strong understanding of machine safety standards.
Excellent troubleshooting, communication and teamwork skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
