The Role
An opportunity has arisen on-shift within the Plant Facilities group for a Facilities Maintenance Technician to support key operational and business goals of the plant, including:
* Facilities Plant Maintenance & Operation
* Key Project Implementation
* Troubleshooting all areas of the plant as required
The technician will use engineering principles to support equipment operation, carrying out:
* Planned and unplanned maintenance activities
* Work according to operating specifications
* Participation in training and development
* Full EHS compliance
* Implementation of best known methods for preventive maintenance and engineering practices
* Troubleshooting and root cause analysis
* Installations, procurement, upgrades, and modifications
Key Responsibilities
* Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and resolution of issues with electro-mechanical equipment across the plant
* Dismantling, adjustment, repair, and assembly of equipment per plans, manuals, or drawings
* Using test and diagnostic equipment for checkouts
* Performing equipment modifications as directed by engineers
* Maintaining various plant systems, including DI water and effluent treatment, chilled water, boilers, air systems, gas and chemical delivery, vacuum, compressed air, BMS, and gas detection systems
* Maintaining supply and operating conditions within cleanrooms to strict specifications, including temperature, humidity, and particle counts, with regular validations and responding to alerts
Candidate Requirements
* Minimum Level 7 degree or Level 6 qualification in a relevant trade with experience
* Strong engineering knowledge
* Understanding of hardware: electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, vacuum systems
* Good decision-making and problem-solving skills
* Effective interpersonal and communication skills
* Quality and safety mindset
