They are committed to enabling better, smarter, and safer healthcare through the responsible use of data, technology, and clinical insight.They work at the intersection of healthcare delivery and advanced data systems, building scalable solutions that support clinicians, improve patient outcomes, and ensure the highest standards of safety, compliance, and reliability.The RoleAs a Machine Learning Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain the production infrastructure that powers AI-driven healthcare information systems.This is a highly engineering-focused role where success is measured not just by model performance, but by reliability, scalability, security, and real-world clinical usability.You will act as a bridge between data science and software engineering, owning MLOps pipelines, deployment workflows, and production ML systems in a regulated healthcare environment.Key ResponsibilitiesMLOps & DeploymentBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines for machine learning workflows (model training, testing, deployment, and versioning)Deploy ML models as scalable APIs and microservices with strong focus on latency and reliabilityImplement monitoring for model drift, performance degradation, and system healthDevelop ETL pipelines for healthcare data standards including FHIR and HL7Ensure consistency between training datasets and production data via feature stores or data layersCollaborate with backend and platform teams to integrate ML outputs into clinical systemsWrite clean, maintainable Python code and participate in rigorous code reviewsContainerise and orchestrate workloads using Docker and KubernetesEnsure compliance with healthcare security and regulatory standards (e.g. HIPAA, HITRUST)Required ExperienceBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or similarSoftware or data engineering experienceExperience in production machine learning or MLOps environmentsTechnical SkillsStrong Python and SQL skillsExperience with at least one cloud platform (AWS / Azure / GCP)Experience with Docker and KubernetesFamiliarity with ML frameworks (PyTorch or Scikit-learn)Experience with data tools such as Pandas, Spark, dbtExposure to LLM deployment or frameworks such as LangChainExperience in regulated industries (Healthcare, Finance, etc.)Understanding of microservices and API designThis role is based in Ireland, remote working is available but applicants must be a resident of the country.
