We are looking for a talentedMechanical Supervisorto join our team out of our office located in Cork, Ireland.In this role, you will work independently on various projects as assigned by the Discipline Director or a Project Manager. You will also oversee the entire mechanical design process and assist as a technical expert on specialized design projects within the Pharmaceutical, Biotech, and Medical Device industries.What You'll DoAssess project requirements, break projects into tasks, and work with Project Managers to determine the scope of work while overseeing budget and staffing.Write scopes of work for mechanical designs based on preliminary reviews and client meetings.Prepare engineering studies and schematic designs for new mechanical systems and analyze the operation of existing systems.Work with code officials and other design professionals when an interpretation or exception to building codes is required.Assign and review the work of the project design teams.Ability to perform target cost design work when projects have initial target construction costs.Coordinates all aspects of project document completion within IPS, externally with clients, and with other relevant design professionals.Ability to develop mechanical discipline-specific construction budgets based on the project scope.Come join a caring, nimble team that delivers world-class designs for our pharmaceutical clients and takes your career to new heightsQualifications & Requirements15 years of engineering experience with ten of those doing mechanical designs on industrial, light industrial, or large-scale commercial projects.Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Mechanical Engineering.Around 5 years of central utility plant design experience related to chilled water, condenser water, hot water, and steam systems.Working knowledge of energy analysis and simulation software systems.Working knowledge of piping analysis and modeling software.All interviews are conducted either in person or virtually, withvideo required.About UsIPS, a Berkshire Hathaway company, is a global leader in technical consulting, architecture, engineering, procurement, construction management, commissioning, qualification, and validation services for technically complex facilities.Integrationis how we think and work.
