Location: Volvo, Cork, Ireland.
Job Type: Full Time, Apprenticeship
Job Summary: This four-year apprenticeship, in collaboration with SOLAS, offers a comprehensive blend of on-the-job and off-the-job training.
Upon successful completion, you will be awarded a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft in Motor Mechanics.

Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To: As an Apprentice Motor Mechanic, you will be:
Learning and Training: Undergoing hands-on training and education to gain expertise in automotive maintenance and repair tasks.
This includes tasks such as diagnosing and fixing mechanical and electrical issues, performing routine maintenance, and using various tools and equipment.
Assisting Senior Technicians: Supporting experienced mechanics in their tasks, observing their work, and learning from their expertise.
This may involve tasks like assisting in vehicle inspections, repairs, and parts replacement.
Tools and Equipment: Familiarizing themselves with automotive tools and equipment and learning how to use them safely and effectively.
Safety: Following safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for themselves and others.
Documentation: Maintaining records of work completed, including repairs and services performed on vehicles.
Customer Service: Interacting with customers, answering questions, and providing information about the work being done on their vehicles.
Professional Development: Attending training sessions and classes to gain additional skills and knowledge in the automotive field.
Compliance: Adhering to all regulations and standards related to automotive repair and maintenance.
Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications:
Team Player: The ability to work well as part of a team and learn from experienced mechanics is crucial in an apprentice role.
Safety Conscious: Uphold the highest standards of health and safety procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all.
Driver's License: Possess a full clean driver's license to carry out necessary tasks.
Mechanical Aptitude: A strong interest in and aptitude for working with mechanical systems is essential for success as an Apprentice Mechanic.
