The primary purpose of this post is to provide leadership and guidance to the Respiratory Physiology team within the acute and community setting and ensure the provision of a high quality, patient-focussed service to both the acute and the community care diagnostics service under the clinical and governance framework of the Respiratory Department. The Respiratory Physiologist, Chief I will provide the professional governance to the Respiratory Physiology specialist team within the acute hospital. This will ensure the effective and efficient provision of a high standard of care within the acute Respiratory Diagnostics service and the Respiratory Department in the hospitals, under the clinical governance framework of the Hospital. The Respiratory Physiologist, Chief I will report to the Chief II Respiratory Physiologist GUH and will work as part of the Respiratory specialist MDT comprised of the Respiratory Consultant, CNS (Respiratory), Clinical Specialist, Senior and Staff Grade Physiotherapist, Smoking Cessation practitioner, Health Promotion Officers.
