Job Title: Senior Reinsurance Technician Location: Dublin City Working Model: Hybrid Abrivia are currently recruiting for a Senior Reinsurance Technician to join our client, a global reinsurance organisation operating within a technical underwriting support function. This role focuses on technical accounting and operational support across underwriting, finance and offshore teams, ensuring accurate processing, strong oversight and consistent delivery of internal standards. Your Role Oversee outsourced technical accounting activities, ensuring agreed service levels and performance standards are met Manage the accounting of proportional treaty business including commissions, cash calls and claims funding Act as a key contact for technical accounting queries, resolving issues and escalating where required Review newly bound treaties to ensure accurate setup and processing within internal systems Monitor cession activity, identifying discrepancies and resolving processing issues Maintain oversight of reporting processes, including timelines and broker engagement Support month-end close activities including control reporting and finance-related tasks Contribute to internal and external audits while ensuring adherence to controls and procedures Build strong working relationships across underwriting, finance and offshore teams Identify opportunities to improve processes and support operational efficiencies Your Skills Minimum of 5 years' experience within insurance or reinsurance, ideally in technical accounting or treaty operations Strong understanding of reinsurance concepts, particularly inward treaty processing Experience with policy administration systems, ideally SICS or similar Knowledge of financial controls and reporting requirements, including exposure to SOX frameworks Strong numerical and analytical skills with a high level of accuracy Ability to manage workload independently and adapt to changing priorities Clear communication skills with the ability to engage internal stakeholders Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel Professional insurance qualification such as CII is advantageous Should this position be of interest to you please call Tadhg at.
