OverviewAWS Lambda is growing in Dublin, Ireland and our goal is to define the Serverless revolution. In the Lambda team you will be joining a full‑stack development team where the entire service occurs in Dublin. You will own and implement specific components, build highly available, secure, scalable, distributed, event‑driven systems, and help define the system architecture.ResponsibilitiesThis full‑stack role on a large distribution computing platform involves designing, building, and maintaining distributed, event‑driven systems that run in the cloud. You will own specific components, implement system architecture, and collaborate across teams to deliver new Lambda services and features.On‑Call ResponsibilityThe position involves on‑call responsibilities. The team ensures that systems are fault‑tolerant, well‑engineered, and meet a high quality bar before production. When on‑call, you will work with the team to resolve root causes quickly and collaboratively.QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent.3+ years of professional software development experience.Strong programming skills in at least two of the following: Java, Python, Node.js, Go, Rust.Deep understanding of system architecture, design patterns, and software engineering best practices.Strong debugging and performance monitoring skills (benchmarking, profiling, flamegraphs, memory management).Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.Demonstrated experience developing and deploying serverless applications using AWS services, including event‑driven architectures, Lambda business logic, integration with other AWS services, and optimization of performance and cost efficiency.EEOAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
