Our team is growing, and we are now seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Professional to support our finance function and contribute to the continued success of the business.Role OverviewThe Accounts Payable Administrator will manage the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices, payment runs, and account reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction/contracting environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess high volumes of supplier invoices, ensuring correct coding, approval, and matching with purchase orders and delivery dockets.Prepare weekly and monthly payment runs in line with company policies.Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.Maintain accurate and up-to-date AP ledgers and ensure compliance with internal controls.Liaise with site managers, project managers, and procurement teams to resolve invoice or delivery queries.Assist with month-end close tasks, including accruals and reporting.Support the Finance Team with VAT returns, RCT (Relevant Contracts Tax) compliance, and other statutory requirements as needed.Maintain organised financial records and ensure adherence to audit requirements.Contribute to process improvements and support digitalisation of AP workflows.Requirements2–4 years' experience in an Accounts Payable or accounting support role, ideally within construction, engineering, or contracting.Strong understanding of accounting principles and AP best practices.Experience with accounting software (e.g., Sage, Big Red Cloud, Surf Accounts, or similar).Proficiency in MS Excel and strong numerical accuracy.Familiarity with Irish VAT, RCT, and CIS processes (highly desirable).Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a small finance team.Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing deadlines.What We OfferCompetitive salary (DOE).Opportunities for professional development and training.Supportive team environment within a long-established Irish contractor.Convenient Dublin-based office location.Career progression opportunities as the company grows.Job Type: Full-timePay: €40,000.00-€50,000.00 per yearWork Location: In person
