Senior Demand Analyst & Supply Planner - Cork
Our client, a leading multinational organisation with a strong global footprint, is seeking to appoint a Senior Demand Analyst & Supply Planner to join their high-performing supply chain function in Cork. This is a strategic role responsible for balancing demand and supply across multiple product categories and regions, ensuring product availability, revenue optimisation, and operational efficiency in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and execute short- and long-term supply plans aligned to customer demand and revenue targets.
2. Manage planning across multiple product categories and sales regions, ensuring optimal inventory levels and stock availability.
3. Monitor lead times, production schedules, and capacity constraints to proactively mitigate supply risks.
4. Collaborate cross-functionally with Procurement, Logistics, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Distribution, and Product Lifecycle Management to align supply strategies with commercial objectives.
5. Support promotional planning through SKU recommendations, stock exposure analysis, and timing optimisation.
6. Act as a core member of New Product Introduction (NPI) teams, anticipating risks to product launches and establishing clear communication and performance metrics with key stakeholders.
7. Analyse demand trends, seasonality, product transitions, and promotional impacts to inform forecast and inventory planning decisions.
8. Partner with Marketing, Sales, Tactical Purchasing, and ODMs to develop End-of-Life (EOL) strategies and manage excess and obsolete (E&O) risk.
9. Drive end-to-end supply chain execution plans with operations teams to ensure timely product delivery and high customer satisfaction.
10. Evaluate supply chain performance metrics and recommend continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service levels and cost efficiency.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
11. Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in a relevant discipline; MBA advantageous.
12. Minimum 5+ years' experience in demand planning, supply planning, or business planning within a complex supply chain environment.
13. Strong understanding of demand management, forecasting tools, and cross-functional planning processes across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain.
14. Advanced analytical capability with strong reporting skills; highly proficient in MS Excel and ERP systems (Oracle preferred).
15. Experience with advanced planning systems such as Anaplan, John Galt, or Oracle Demantra is desirable.
16. Proven ability to interpret demand trends, promotional impacts, and inventory drivers to inform strategic decisions.
17. Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at multiple organisational levels.
18. Ability to manage shifting priorities in a deadline-driven environment while maintaining a strategic, "big picture" perspective.
19. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
