We're searching for an Accounting Manager to join Cohesity's growing Global Accounting team, reporting to our Controller of EMEA, in Cork, Ireland. This role will be responsible for assisting and reviewing the preparation of statutory financial statements and overseeing the month-end financial close. You will leverage experience in statutory compliance to ensure financial statement audits and statutory filings are managed efficiently. This involves partnering closely with the global Finance and Accounting teams, building relationships with local outsourced providers, and collaborating with internal stakeholders in HR and Legal.
How You’ll Spend Your Time Here
* Correspondence with vendors/employees regarding payment statuses
* Prepare and review statutory financial statements across multiple entities in compliance with GAAP or IFRS.
* Manage direct reports and their respective countries.
* Ensure timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles, coordinating the global close calendar.
* Serve as the key contact for statutory audits of EMEA entities, including financial statement preparation and coordination with external auditors and internal stakeholders.
* Address audit findings and implement recommendations to improve financial controls.
* Review completed management accounts packages, including working papers and FLUX analysis monthly.
* Review balance sheet accounts for accuracy and completeness each month.
* Prepare statutory accounting journals into NetSuite.
* Present monthly data to management, providing clarity and understanding of accounts.
* Operate as a strong team leader, capable of working globally and cross-functionally, taking ownership and demonstrating initiative.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and projects as needed.
We'd Love to Talk to You If You Have Many of the Following
* 7+ years of relevant experience in accounting roles, in practice or industry environments
* Qualifications – University Graduate or ACA/ACCA qualified
* Previous managerial experience is desirable
* Proficient understanding of US GAAP accounting, including GL journal entries and accruals
* Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams
* Highly proficient in MS Office and Excel, well-organized with great attention to detail
* Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with research and problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to multi-task
* Excellent customer service and a positive attitude
* Team player with a willingness to learn quickly
* Experience working in a Shared Service Centre environment is a plus
* NetSuite ERP reporting system experience is preferred but not essential
