Job Overview The Staff Nurse leads and provides top-quality nursing care for older people in our care.
They create a caring environment that meets the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of the residents.
The role involves building respectful and equal relationships with the residents.
Reports to the Person in Charge or designated person.
Duties & Responsibilities - Foster a caring environment that meets the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of residents through high standards of professional practice.
- Ensure a high standard of care that respects the privacy, dignity, and values of our residents, contributing to their excellent quality of life.
- Lead and supervise clinical staff to improve standards and maintain high team morale.
- Promote and practice person-centered care.
- Assist the management team during internal and external audits and inspections.
- When Nurse in Charge, oversee the organisation, management, and operations of the Nursing Home, ensuring adequate staffing levels for the highest care standards and smooth operations.
Be available to work day, night, and weekend shifts as needed.
Education & Qualifications - Third Level Degree in Nursing.
- Registered with An Bord Altranais and hold an active PIN.
- Current and valid Infection Control, Manual and Resident Moving & Handling, Medication Management, CPR, Dementia, Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults Certificates (training can be provided if required).
Skills & Experience Proven clinical competence in the care of older people.
Passionate about delivering outstanding care to older people.
Previous working experience in a Nursing Home environment is desirable.
