OBJECTIVE
Ensure delivery of store targets (both sales & profitability) through the effective management of multi store operations and employees.
JOB DESCRIPTION
MANAGEMENT
* The recruitment, training and development of managements team across all stores.
* Ensuring all stores meet budget requirements on staff timesheets, while having adequate cover available in all stores.
* Conduct performance appraisals, offer feedback & coaching, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
* Provide leadership and guidance to store managers to ensure they deal with staff performance issues in a timely and compliant manner
* Ensuring adequate cover is in place when store managers are not present in stores.
* Accurate payment of wages.
* Plan, organise and set goals for the stores to ensure consistent customer service and competitiveness.
* Manage the performance of the store management team utilising effective performance management techniques in line with legislation.
* Continually communicate with daily store management teams on objectives and stores performance. The use of the buddy system.
* Setting goals for the stores to ensure effective customer service, store standards, compliance, and competitiveness.
FINANCE
* Manage budgets for the stores, ensuring all targets are delivered across each store.
* Generating and analysing financial reports and KPI's, analysing same and reporting any discrepancies to Store Owner
* Ensure overheads are controlled and minimised where appropriate in each store.
* Ensure store sales are maximised
* Ensure store margins, wages, waste and sales are managed appropriately and profitability across all stores and maximised
OPERATIONS
* Ensure operation runs efficiently and smoothly in each store.
* Ensure store standards are consistently of an extremely high standard in terms of stock management, financial, compliance, customer service and people management.
* Ensuring the execution of store strategy with store management teams.
* Plan for market changes and demands as they arise.
* Ensure in-store promotions are executed & maximised through new initiatives continuously.
* Ensure policies and procedures are implemented and managed within the stores
* Manage cash handling in line with company cash handling procedures and act on any discrepancies that arise
* Manage stores merchandising ensuring appropriate "fresh food'' image is portrayed in line with company strategy.
* Ensuring stores and their management teams are extremely focused on a constant development of the fresh food category within each store.
* To ensure all customer complaints are dealt as appropriate manner and to take necessary action in implementing stores improvements following customer complaints
STOCK MANAGEMENT
* Ensure effective stock control procedures and systems are in place to minimise stock loss in each store through following compliance.
* Preparation for and management of stores stock takes
* Ensure effective food management and waste systems are implemented, managed and updated appropriately in each store.
* Identify areas of stock leakage and ensure effective systems are in place to minimise stock loss (e.g. through pilferage, wastage, damages)
* Ensure effective stock rotation and stock monitoring systems are in place and adhered to in each store
* Over seeing goods inwards process has been followed in each store.
* Ensuring strong relationships with supplier representatives, and maximising of stock offers and sales growth.
* Strategically work with store reps to create synergies across all stores.
* Implementation and overseeing on promotional, tactical, keys commercial days, bulk and cross merchandising.
* Overseeing Retailer Benefit Programme in each store.
* Developing new product offerings within stores.
* Constantly review and develop category management and planograms to ensure maximum growth.
