About the Job

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and people-centred HR professional. People in Dublin Simon Community are our greatest strength and asset. As an HR Business Partner, you will help influence how we manage and develop our HR practices in areas such as employee relations, retention, employee engagement, compensation & benefits, wellbeing, and implementing new legislation. You will also provide information and support to staff and managers on a range of issues. You will report to the HR Manager and partner with line managers as well as with the Recruitment and Learning & Development teams, and wider HR Function.

Working Hours & Location: 9am - 5:30pm, office based in Smithfield, Dublin 7, Hybrid working accommodated

Contract: Permanent


Responsibilities

* Partner with specified business functions and build strong relationships with key stakeholders to provide HR expertise
* Provide information, advice and policy guidance to line managers on employee relations issues
* Offer support on employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary processes, grievances, and conflict resolution
* Ensure local management and HR practices and policies comply with Irish employment legislation and organisational values
* Drive onboarding and off-boarding processes, including exit interviews and report analysis
* Support payroll preparation, administration and related processes
* Manage and maintain the HR information systems to ensure data integrity
* Produce monthly HR metrics reports and conduct analysis on key performance indicators
* Support creation and implementation of employee engagement strategies (surveys, analysis, group facilitation, engagement activities and events)
* Review, update, write and implement HR policies and administrative processes in line with current legislation and organisational needs
* Contribute to compliance with quality standards, audits, and change programmes
* Collaborate with Recruitment and Learning & Development teams to deliver cross-functional initiatives and high levels of service
* Undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by the HR Manager

Essential skills and experience

* 3rd level qualification in HRM / HRD or equivalent
* 2 years' experience in Human Resources with grounding in Employee Relations and HR Operations
* Ability to analyse and report on HR metrics to inform business decisions
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with strong problem-solving focus
* Interpersonal skills, self-motivation and positive mindset
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Excellent knowledge of Irish employment legislation, HR policy implementation and practices
* Excellent IT skills, including HRIS and Microsoft Office 365 (Teams, Outlook, Excel, MS Forms)


Desirable skills and experience

* CIPD membership
* Experience in the non-profit sector
* Understanding of homeless issues in Ireland and areas Dublin Simon Community operates in
