Business Data Specialist - FMCG / Ecommerce Sites
(The role will suit someone who comes from a strong Data Engineering and Marketing Automation background in Retail/ FMCG or B2C sectors. The role requires someone with Salesforce Cloud Marketing experience.

Job Description:
Our client, a well-established FMCG company, is seeking a skilled Business Data Specialist to join their marketing and digital CRM team. The ideal candidate will have a background in data engineering and now operates effectively in a business-focused data role, managing and leveraging large volumes of data from a variety of internal and external sources to support data-driven campaigns.
Job Responsibilities
* Collaborate closely with marketing and CRM teams to implement data-led strategies across digital campaigns
* Manage and integrate large datasets from both internal departments and third-party providers
* Translate business requirements into technical data solutions to support commercial and marketing objectives
* Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across all platforms and campaigns
* Build and maintain dashboards and reports to track campaign performance and data trends
* Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure effective data use
* Maintain and improve data flows and ETL processes to support real-time decision-making
* Support data governance practices ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations
Experience Required
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in data engineering, transitioning into a business-facing data role
* Demonstrable experience working on digital marketing or CRM-related data projects (Salesforce Cloud Marketing).
* Strong proficiency in data integration, transformation, and reporting tools
* Experience managing campaign and consumer data across multiple sources
* Familiarity with data tools and platforms such as SQL, Python, Power BI, or similar
* Exposure to marketing automation systems and CRM platforms
* Understanding of data compliance and privacy best practices
* FMCG or retail industry experience is a distinct advantage
Educational Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field
* Monday to Friday, standard working hours
* Hybrid working model available ( 2 days on site / 3 days from home)
