Responsibilities
* Assist staff with the assessment and implementation of individual care plans, undertaking daily tasks and activities as directed to facilitate the well-being, dignity, and treatment of all residents.
* Work efficiently with the multidisciplinary team to approach patient care.
* Assist residents with all personal care required, including bathing in bed, bathroom, or chair, ensuring essential aspects of personal hygiene are maintained.
* Observe and monitor residents' well-being, promptly reporting any unusual physical, mental, or emotional occurrences to senior staff and documenting appropriately.
* Be aware of local child and adult safeguarding policies and procedures, including contact points within the local authority.
* Assist with mobility and transfers using correctly any specialised equipment provided.
* Participate in ward meetings.
* Adhere to infection control policies and maintain ward cleanliness.
* Maintain and develop good professional relationships with residents, colleagues, and visitors.
Skills and Qualifications
* Basic IT skills.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends, with 1:1 support if required.
* Complete and obtain at least 60% in Level 2 of The Deprivation of Liberty module.
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
* GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
* Healthcare experience is desirable but not essential.
