We're currently looking for a talented and driven Technical Manager with Environmental and Project Management experience to join our Environmental Due Diligence team in Ireland or the UK.
We operate a hybrid working model, typically 3 days in the office or on site and 2 days at home, depending on site visits and client meetings.
What does the role involve?
This client-facing role involves full responsibility for the technical and commercial delivery of projects. You will collaborate with the Sweco Ireland Environmental team and the European network of over 22,000 consultants.
You’ll project manage environmental projects, liaising with clients, regulators, and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery. You’ll provide environmental advice related to assessments and management in infrastructure projects in the private sector.
You will prepare and submit technical reports, including EIARs, environmental due diligence, and compliance documentation, while growing Sweco's environmental consulting presence and cross-selling services. You will also coordinate with internal teams and external sub-consultants as needed.
To Be Successful In This Role You’ll Have
* Comprehensive understanding of EIA (Ireland or UK) across environmental topics.
* Experience in Environmental Due Diligence; Data Centre projects experience is a plus.
* Proven success in negotiating and winning work locally.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to foster strong client relationships.
* Knowledge of project financial and technical management.
* Experience working with multidisciplinary teams on complex environmental projects.
* Problem-solving skills with quick, innovative, and practical solutions.
* Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, etc.
* A degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field, and chartered or in the process of gaining chartership with a relevant professional body.
* Full driver’s license.
