Job Description:Americold – Helping our customers Feed the WorldHere at Americold Monaghan, we are now recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer (Part Time) on a FTC until the 1st week of January 2026.As a Maintenance Engineer, your role will be to assist the Engineering Supervisor with the daily function of running the Maintenance department. Dealing with mechanical, electrical and refrigeration planned, preventative and reactive maintenance across site to ensure equipment is fit-for-purpose and downtime is kept to a minimum.This position will require you to control and supervise external contractors to ensure Americold H&S policies are always met and adhered to and to ensure the department's risk assessments and SOPs are updated and compliant.You will drive KPI targets through continuous improvement within the maintenance team and assess individual training needs and implement development plans for each team member.Experience RequiredSkill / Knowledge:Understanding of Electrical/Mechanical MaintenanceRefrigeration knowledge/experienceAmmonia knowledgeWarehouse/Distribution knowledge/experienceComputer knowledge, Windows, Excel, cloud-based maintenance softwareFormal Supervisor trainingQualifications (i.e. critical requirement to perform the role)NVQ, BTEC, NNC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent17th/18th Edition Qualified - desirableIOSH Managing safety.Personal Qualities, Motivation & Expectations:Ability to operate in a fast-moving organization,Responsive problem-solving skills with an action-oriented mind set.Excellent communication and organisational skillsAbility to priorities accordingly.Working HoursMinimum 3 days out of 5. 8:30am - 5pm (4pm finish on Fridays)
