A senior opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Contracts Manager to join a team responsible for overseeing the delivery of a broad portfolio of projects and programmes. This role will focus on ensuring effective contract management, performance monitoring, and supplier engagement across multiple workstreams. The successful candidate will lead a small team and collaborate across functions to drive improvements in contract performance, governance, and delivery processes.
Responsibilities
* Lead and support a team responsible for managing contract performance and supplier engagement.
* Help define and implement frameworks to monitor and report on key contractual and commercial metrics.
* Act as a point of escalation for contract-related issues and contribute to problem-solving and resolution.
* Promote continuous improvement across the contract lifecycle, embedding best practices into future ways of working.
* Develop and deliver regular reports and performance dashboards to support informed decision-making.
* Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Coordinate governance forums or working groups to share insights and promote consistent approaches.
* Contribute to the development of training, process improvements, and broader commercial strategy initiatives.
* Undertake other duties aligned with the scope and seniority of the role.
Skills & Experience
* A relevant qualification in a related discipline such as Business, Finance, Engineering, or similar.
* Significant experience (circa 7+ years) in contract management, commercial performance, or programme delivery in a complex organisation.
* Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing teams and promoting a high-performance culture.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Proven ability to manage competing priorities and drive strategic outcomes.
* Comfortable working with performance data, reporting tools, and governance processes.
* A collaborative, proactive, and solution-focused approach.
