National Account Manager Job Opportunity
As a key player in our sales organization, the National Account Manager will be responsible for leading the commercial agenda and Diageo performance across defined accounts within one of the THT channels.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Raise commercial performance of the account via rigorous management; unlocking growth and maximising sustainable profit delivery through effective market strategies and customer engagement.
2. Joint Business Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement a Joint Business Plan (where applicable), aligning with business objectives and goals.
3. Financial & Market Share Objectives: Deliver annual financial & market share objectives in full, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability.
4. Profit Maximization: Maximize sustainable profit delivery through the implementation of principles like NRM and developing 12-month plans that align with business ambition.
5. Growth Activation: Activate commercial & brand building growth drivers based on analysis and core insight into customer strategy and consumer behaviors, driving sales and revenue growth.
6. Demand Forecasting: Build an accurate demand and financial forecast for your account base, leveraging expertise in Vision and demonstrating P&L management within the O&R process.
7. Performance Improvement: Identify opportunities to drive performance forward through activation and sell-out initiatives, consistently seeking ways to improve and simplify processes.
8. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster a collaborative environment by creating conditions for an amazing relationship with customers through great cross-functional behaviors and ways of working, resulting in increased customer satisfaction and loyalty.
9. Data Management: Ensure all customer data/information required to support customer relationships is rigorously handled, adhering to data protection policies and procedures.
10. Programme Activation Orchestration: Thoroughly orchestrate all aspects of programme activation with rigorous attention to detail, delivering successful programme outcomes and exceeding customer expectations.
11. Informed Recommendations: Make necessary informed recommendations to course correct when required, ensuring successful delivery of activities and meeting business objectives.
12. Leadership & Ambassadorship: Operate as a leader within the sales organisation & an ambassador for the channel/brands by demonstrating passion, energy & tenacity, inspiring and motivating team members to achieve their best.
13. Customer Service Excellence: Deliver brilliant customer service at every touch point, being perceived as supplier-of-choice within the customer base by consistently meeting or exceeding customer needs and expectations.
About You:
* Proven experience in key account management or commercial roles, ideally within the retail or FMCG sectors.
* Excellent relationship-building skills.
* Ability to adapt styles to influence various customer types.
* Outstanding analytical skills with ability to derive insight from data.
* Rapid commercial understanding; P&L literacy and numerical/analytical skills.
