Job Title: Occupational Health Nurse Working 3days per week as an occupational health nurse, you would encourage better health and wellbeing in workers.

Monitorabsenceprocedures/processes,includingbenchmarkingandrecommendchangestoensurebest practice is developed and maintained.
Adviseemployeesongeneralhealthissues Communicatewith HRand Managersworkingtosupporttheindividualwithinflexibilitiesofservice Monitorsabsencetrends,andprovidereportstohighlightingopportunitiesforimprovementinattendance Provideadviceonhealth-relatedperformanceissue Participateindeliveryannualfluvaccinationprogramme.
Ensurethatequipmentiscalibrated,andmedicalsuppliesareorderedasnecessary.
Participateinthedevelopmentofhealthpromotionalprogrammesandprovidepro-activeinformationon work-related lifestyle issues.
Attendmeetings/caseconferenceswithlinemanagersandemployees.
Proactiveapproachcasemanagementandgivingadviceonindividualrehabilitationandreturntoworkplans Workplaceassessmentasrequired Assessingandtreatingemployeeswhoareinjuredorbecomeillatwork Givinghealtheducationandadviceadvisingonhealthandsafetyissues.

Referralstooccupationalhealthdoctorsforcomplexcases Tobeinvolvedinsicknessabsencecasemanagement.
Includingreturntoworkandrehabilitation programmes Toattendmeetingsasrequiredprovidingspecialistadvicetomanagerstoassistwiththeirdecisionmaking.
Liaisewith GP'sandcommunityhealthservicesasrequired.
Tobeknowledgeableofspecificissuesatworkthatcouldaffectthehealthofemployeesandgiveappropriate advice Drop-inserviceforemployeeson-site Pointofcontactforfirstaidandmedicaladvice Ensureaccurateanddetailedwrittenandelectronicdocumentation.
Tokeepabreastofnewdevelopmentsinoccupationalhealthandlegislativechange Ensure thatat alltimestheservicecomplieswiththe NMBI Codeof Professional Conduct and Ethics;the Data Protection Act 1988 to 2018; The Freedom of Information Act 1997 (FOI) as amended by the Freedom of Information (Amendment) Act 2003 and all other relevant legislation Regular liaison with Occupational Health Physician on all of the above Keyholdersareresponsibletokeepkeyssafe.
