Clinical Nurse Manager 2

We are seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager 2 to join our hospital team in Dublin.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide efficient and effective management to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff, optimising the use of time and resources while promoting multidisciplinary teamwork.
* Ensure infection control and hygiene standards are maintained at all times.
* Adhere to the Code of Professional Practice and Behaviours for Registered Nurses.
* Implement and maintain all hospital policies and procedures, making them available to staff as needed.
* Ensure that nurses are familiar with and knowledgeable about the correct procedures to follow in patient care, including emergency situations such as fires, power outages, cardiac arrests, and major incidents.
* Manage and maintain equipment for the department, ensuring it is available to meet service needs.
* Plan, assess, deliver, and evaluate individualised nursing care for each patient, involving all members of the nursing team.
* Assist in the orientation of new staff members and participate in performance assessments of assigned staff in conjunction with the CNM II/ADON.
* Facilitate total holistic patient care by informing relevant staff about patients' medical and social history, fears, queries, religious beliefs, and concerns.
* Review and plan theatre schedules with surgeons and stakeholders, utilising the capacity planning system model.
* Lead the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal Operating Theatre session usage, monitoring efficiency and session utilisation.
* Plan staff rosters and annual leave/time off to guarantee adequate staffing levels and skills mix for quality patient care.
* Maintain working knowledge of the TAMS time and management system.
* Establish and maintain a stock control system in collaboration with the purchasing department, continuously reviewing its success.
* Participate actively in weekly scheduling meetings with the clinical bed manager, theatre manager, and other relevant committees.
* Assist with identifying and assessing staff training needs and in-service training programmes.
* Pursue any additional duties reasonably required from time to time.
Requirements:
* Registered General Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI), or eligible to register with NMBI.
* 5 years post-registration experience in the acute hospital setting, with a minimum of 3 years relevant clinical experience.
* Demonstrate management experience within the last 3 years.
* Completion of a Management Course.
* Knowledge of JCI or similar accreditation systems.
* Demonstrate IT skills.
* Showcase experience in personal and professional development of staff.
